Channel properties may be modulated by cAMP and subunit assembly.

associate with modulating beta subunits.
-!- SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
-!- TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Highly expressed in adult and embryonic brain,
in particular in cerebellum, brain stem, hippocampus, cortex and
striatum. Detected at slightly lower levels in heart, spinal cord,
olfactory bulb, pituitary and medulla. In the hippocampus
expression is strongest in the pyramidal cell body layers of the
dentate gyrus. Also found in pituitary.
